Just Another Adventure : To The Mountain Temple
It’s October 21st 2011, and once again I’m on my study Holidays for my semester exams which are going to start next November. Having finished my ASP.NET course on wednesday, today I had woke up early to start heading out from home for the Temple Adventure I had planned with my friends. Unfortunately, the North-East Monsoon was setting in this week and therefore it has been raining with hell-like thunders & lightnings over here. Two days back, me and my neighbors’ routers had busted due to the electric surge caused by the thunder over midnight and hence I was forced to buy several modems for us. Also I had to goto each and everyone’s home for setting it up for the Internet connection.
About 8AM in the morning today, I went to my neighbor’s home which was behind our house to finish the final setup for their Internet connection. But I had informed my friend Subash that I would be giving him the Windows XP cd at Gandhipuram that day as he requested earlier. I couldn’t reach him at the time I had told him because of all these busy work. Anyways, I managed to reach Gandhipuram by 9.30AM and gave him the CD which he was longing for a week or so. Next, I got a call from my friend Lilly saying that we need to send all the 10th & 12th marks to our staff regarding our placement in our college. Having known that I can send only 100 SMS per day (because of the insanely stupid TRAI), I added a topup of Rs.100 to my prepaid mobile account and started sending texts to almost everyone to send me their marks as soon as possible. I was on the way to meet Arumugam in his home, which was planned as just a irrational visit but now it had made itself rational since we had some work to do at this home. I got my bus at about 10AM and started moving to his place with my new bluetooth headset which made me look odd to many inside the bus. After reaching his place, we roamed around his house a little to take a look at the various rich houses which were built in the area. We then went to his house and turned on his computer and quickly started typing all the marks in the table by referring to my texts which had been rushing in from many of my classmates with their marks. After finishing it, we sent the mail to our staff but the sending had failed with a message stating that the recipient’s email address does not exist. So I contacted Lilly again and got the correct email address but it was too late by that time since we had started from his home. She had asked some help to my friend Arumugam and so we were on our way to meet her. On the way, I managed to send the mail using my Ike to our respected staff. We were waiting and waiting in the bus stop since we couldn’t get any bus for about half an hour (Don’t know whose bad luck is that :P). We got the bus at about 12.11PM and finally met Lilly at about 12.35PM. Having finished her work, we had a drink of Tender Coconut together after which she had headed back with her work. Me and Arumugam went to a hotel to have our lunch as I was very hungry. We ordered Chilli Parotta for both of us and I somehow managed to eat it. But Arumugam couldn’t eat it since he was not that hungry and so we had told the waiter to parcel it and give it back to us. After the waiter did as we told, we paid the bill and we started back to his house to spend the rest of the afternoon.
After reaching his home, his house owner had some works for him regarding their CCTV camera setup, they’ve been working on for the past week. I had joined them for their work and helped them without any dismay. I got a chance to ride a TVS Excel for about 2km and also I had a chance to spot a real life Nintendo Wii in their home. I had playing with the fruits which had been growing around the house and also acted as test specimen for checking the view of the CCTV cameras. In the event of playing there, I took a plastic bag tie which was lying out and stupidly strapped it around my wrist like a wrist band. Since it is meant for a one way use, the tie became locked to my wrist very tightly blocking the blood flow to my hands. I was searching Arumugam for about 8 minutes to cut that thing off of me when I finally met him near the staircase. He took a scissors to break it off and I was relived from it with a sigh look on my face. My Ike was about to die as it had almost no battery so we headed back to the house and started to charge it with his dad’s charger using their inverter since they had a black out at that time. After charging it for about half an hour, we headed back to the bus stop to start our adventure to the Temple at Marapaalam at about 4.34PM.
Adventure Time:
We joined Abdul Jaleel on our way to the temple and started the journey about 5.10PM. We marched off through the unvisited roads towards the mountain and had lots of fun on our way. We had taken wrong routes, climbed the steps with fast paced heartbeats and unmatched thrill in our minds as we moved to the top. There was almost no one on the mountain, we just managed to see just 1-2 roaming around in the base of the temple. We saw majestic landscapes of coimbatore as the fog was settling down like a bedspread over my beautiful city, we spotted various tiny-looking trains from the top as they crawled through the rails slowly. We also saw many reptiles like the garden lizard (which were referred as the Dinosaurs’ brothers by Arumugam), took a deep look into the Army Camp where there were many shooting ranges, cadets circling the grounds, and many army trucks waiting parallel to each other in the depot. We had fun ringing the giant bell, worshipped god, tried to talked to a muted swamy who had been guarding the temple. We stayed there only for about 15 minutes and started moving down the hill. After finishing the adventure, we had a refreshment break in a bakery where I had a cup of coffee and then we had started heading back to our homes. Although our thrill and enjoyment cannot be exactly exhibited in the form of words, I managed to bring some of it in the video below. The video is in Tamil and for those who cannot understand the language I have several subtitles for them to follow. Take a look :
Well, thats the end of the adventure. Now, I would like to address why my blog was shut down for the past week. I believe that I might have hurt a certain minority of people by mentioning them incorrectly which maybe because of my inability to express my thoughts correctly. And I feel a lot which cannot be mentioned here and I really adhere from now on that I should not be very open as I used to be. I made a big mistake by writing certain posts which were actually about my friends and not about me. So sticking to my motto of this blog, from now on, It’s All About Me! The blog is now open since there atleast 3-4 persons on this planet with an enthusiasm to read about me and I don’t care about the haters. As always,
Haters gonna hate!
So, if you really like my blog and wish to support it, Follow it on your email by subscribing to it by my web feed, also you can get notified if you SMS ‘Parithi-Me’ (without quotes) to 9870807070 (FREE). I once again thank all the very few who eagerly support me and my blog with all their hearts.
