A Blank Happy Day..
It’s April 3rd 2012, the 9th day after I finally got a job which I love. Last night, I didn’t sleep well and I haven’t been normal for the past one week or so, for a reason I don’t know myself. I had to goto college today to pay fees for our degree certificate and because of my unhealthy sleep time, I couldn’t wake up early as I should. I woke up 2 hours late than the usual time and therefore I had to rush up in getting ready for college. Luckily, I got a strange new bus numbered ‘46’ which goes directly to ukkadam by passing gandhipuram where I usually catch my bus. The day was getting stranger already, and I got a bit scared that I might go late for college and so I texted Arumugam whether its okay to go late. He replied with an awkward question that — whether its okay to go late, where? I was totally creeped out as I realized the fact that he didn’t know that we have to pay the fees today. By the time I could tell everything to him, he got the information from Kirthika and so I continued on, and told him to come to college with me since there was no one to give company for me today. Of course, having no company was not a problem for me but I wasn’t feeling conformable today. Arumugam was very angry over all of us since we failed to inform him about the fee we had to pay today. Although one side of me told that I had not made any mistakes since I’ve never informed him anything like this, on the belief that many others would have already informed him, another side of me made me feel guilty. I couldn’t clearly work this out myself and so, I took it up as fact that If I’m really wrong and should be found guilty, then let me suffer for it and I guess I deserve it.
Anyways, moving on…We reached the college on time as usual, but none of the boys who come with us in the bus didn’t show up today. After a small talk with the staff who catched Arumugam since he forgot to bring the ID card, we entered the college and headed towards the staff room to pay fees and run off. Unfortunately, the staff gave us a lot of work and we were forced to be there at college till the afternoon. A few girls showed up in the class along with Natraj and Nantha Kumar who came on behalf of other students to pay the fees for them.
Surprisingly, Kirthika gave a slam book and told me to fill it out. It was the much awaited slam book of one of my three most special friends in NIET, named Kanchana. Actually, I wanted to buy a glitter pen and a few colors to add a personal touch to it and also thought of thinking a lot of stuff before I write but I wasn’t able to do it. After receiving the slam book, I was in the essence of jumping here and there with joy. But with no further due, I borrowed a pen and started writing with almost everything I know about her. I wanted to fill all the pages in that but at the same time, I didn’t know what to write and so if you take a look at that slam book, all the empty pages are already virtually written by me, you just can’t see it. Of all the slam books I’ve written till now, I feel this was the one which I wrote with the maximum level of happiness. I also drew a kinda-childish drawing on it. Since she is also an invisible friend, I wanted to give my best to express everything as much as possible in those 4 pages.
After paying the fees and finishing the works given by our staff, we headed back to the class and had fun scribbling on the blackboard on the class with Nantha and Natraj and then we left the college in the afternoon. On the way back, I met with my old friend Jai Ganesh on the bus.
Me and Arumugam then went to the usual Central theatre, where we spent around 3 hours watching the movie ‘Wrath of the Titans 3D’. And then we headed back home and carried on with the usual sleeping and eating.
