Next Stop, Vlogging?
As you might be knowing, I’ve been running this blog for over an year and blogging is not something that is new to me. I’ve been blogging from 2007, when I used to sit with my Old PC which couldn’t run more than a web browser, a few games and not to mention, Windows XP. Ever since I started blogging with a few free blogging services such as webnode, blogger, etc (some of them still exist today, click here to view it), my blogging skills have advanced into something that is present today. My Blogs have been evolved from free blogs to self-hosted blogs and I guess its time to add in some more to it.
So, as a part of Parithi X in order to enhance my speaking skills and the ability to tackle a huge crowd, I’ve thought of trying something new and that is Vlogging (Video Blogging, for those who aren’t aware of it). So basically, what people vlog is about their interests, their adventure, etc. My cousin used to vlog sometimes about his career and his adventure with his camcorder or his iPhone by separating them into many episodes. Of course, I was not scared of blogging when I started doing it, but vlogging does give a totally odd scenario. Maybe because I do not have any experience in giving voiceovers and taking videos of myself but I guess I’ll get the hang of it while I start vlog something. And Vlogging does require a bit more work than blogging, for example, I need to transfer the video computer, do editing on it, and give voice overs and add a few special effects. So I can’t vlog more frequently either.
A few months back, me and my friends Arumugam, Sadam Hussain, and Abdul Jaleel headed out to the outskirts of Coimbatore near the Noiyal River. The River was a nothing but a toxic stream of water flowing across our city and we were wandering over there after buying and checking out the new Sony Vaio for Jaleel. My nimble hands wasn’t silent as usual, and started taking photos and videos of the scenery we were watching over there. I was using my Ike to take them and it was surprising that the children who were playing in the waters were enthusiastic in seeing my camera shooting them. Many of them called me purposely and told me to take a snap of them while they were playing in the toxic water. Well, that was definitely not a good sight, so I just took a few seconds of video for their request and headed back. Later, I headed back home and transferred to my Mac to create an iMovie. The movie came out pretty well and that could be my first vlog. If you haven’t seen it before, here it is :
So, Tell me guys, Do you think that I should start vlogging? Do you think that my blogging are good enough to take it to the next level? Share your thoughts in the comments below, I’m eagerly awaiting your response..
