My Call Signs and Their Origins
Well, Everyone knows that my name is Parithi, right? Also, it is ‘the’ most preferable name I wish to be called by anyone. For those of who do not know about me, my full name is ElamParithi Arul, where Arul is the name of my dad. And for those who are wondering about the meaning of my name, Parithi stands for the ‘Sun’ and Elam stands for the ‘Young’ according to the Tamil Language. Together, they translate to the ‘Young Sun’ — which probably doesn’t give any proper meaning. The correct translation could be the ‘Rising Sun’ which refers to the sun we see in the early morning. The appropriate alternative name in English could be ‘Dawn’ which gives the exact meaning. Oh Yes! I have other nick names too. MaX :
Officially used by the Dark Wolves Clan — a group created in our school who are basically fans of Linkin Park and also share the same Technological Geekiness Together. While the name is actually named by myself, which I derived from the Max Lion of the Kwality Walls Commercial when I was about the age of 11. The Full name is MaX Rocket, which explains why my first Gmail username is rocketmacx. Now, the name is used not by many but my fellow buddy Prince often uses it to refer to me while texting.
JJ :
Yes, sounds weird , I know. But it is the most creative, encouraging and stylish names I’ve ever had. Short for Junior John Cena, JJ was named by Nalini, when we had a smalltalk over myself acclaiming to do some workouts in the event of becoming like John Cena. This name is probably the best one and my most favorite because it sounds so cool and also because it has no influence from me which is not the case in my other names.
Prime :
Again, this name is used by Prince while texting with Autobots of the Transformers in mind. While at school, we used to represent an autobot and I chose myself to be Optimus Prime and he decided to be Iron Hide. We also have other friends having names derived from the Transformers such as Sideswipe, Jetfire and so on..
Kitty :
This reason for this name can easily be guessed by all my Gtalk contacts because I have a picture of a Kitten as my profile photo. Used primarily by Kirthika and few other textmates, this name is a cute one used very often by them during chat conversations. It also explains why I have the same cat photo as my profile photo for quite a long time (probably 5 months).
Nick :
Nick is short for Nick Massetti, which is my official Multiplayer gaming name. Still being in used in a lot of games but it tends to use lose its importance nowadays because I’ve started use my name ‘Parithi’ in some of the new ones. Also, I don’t do much multiplayer gaming too at the present, because of the non-stop chatting business I have with my current friends. This does make me awfully regret and lament sometimes.
Tristan :
This could be one of my ancient names as far as the Internet is considered. Created by myself and also used as a Multiplayer gaming name, this name is somewhat special to me because it relates to the story of Bridge To Terabithia II which I wrote myself after watching the movie Bridge To Terabithia with tears like many others on the planet. To keep this name alive, its still being used as my Yahoo! ID and my Windows Live ID.

Parotta Boy :
Used by friend Sharath A.S and Rohit about 3 years ago when we were doing our first year in college. The name got its fame as I used to avidly eat Parottas for lunch everyday. As my food habits changed, the name is now on the list to be sent to space for destruction.
Preethi-Kutti :
Named by my schoolmate Prabhaharan M.S while we used to study together in his home for the tuition class for my 10th, 11th and 12th standard where his dad used to be the tuition master for us. As you’ve probably guessed Preethi is derived from Parithi and Kutti is placed to the back of it to add a more cute touch to it, because he used to think that I’m cute. My tuition mates used to have a lot of fun with me by calling me with this name and I guess those days will never come back again.
X :
This is actually new which was just named yesterday by Deboraal Jackulin after reading the post on Parithi X. Although this name is cool, it is still rather odd to be called and recognized by me. So, I guess this name too will be on the road to destruction sooner or later.
Well, I guess that’s it for this post. I could mention some of my other very special names but some of them are my passwords for various Internet accounts and some of them are insignificant such as Arumugam’s Mickey because he had never used it to call me with that name yet he still has it as my Gtalk name on his contact list. And some believe that I’m a good naming specialist because I used to keep good and sometimes funny names for my friends and also to each and every thing I possess such as my Ike, Tiki, Luna, and the list goes on.
