Thirsty Too..

Not Thirty Two, You Morons! Read Again.. That said, let’s move on. It’s September 25th, I didn’t expect anything from this sunday but I should say that this day could be one of the normal good days that is worth mentioning. Starting up from the morning, I woke up at about 6AM and wanted to play some DiRT 3. So, immediately after getting up from bed, I brushed my teeth and then started playing. After finishing a couple of events on the game, I’ve started to get ready at 8AM for moving to NIIT. I’ve had my breakfast at about 8.30AM and got the bus at about 8.50AM to my centre. After reaching the streets of R.S Puram, I marched towards NIIT and reached the Lab at about 9.35AM.

Unusually, Today’s class was pretty much crazy. We had a lots and lots of fun together starting from the morning till the end of the class in the evening. In the morning, I taught some of the ASP.NET chapters to my fellow mates Vishnu and Rohit. Me and Bagavath played with all our classmates and also our staff by the end. We placed three pens, Bagavath asked the other person’s to select a pen from the set and I had to find the one which was selected by the person by fooling that we use brain signals for finding it. Serena and many others where so sure that we are cheating them and argued that Bagavath was giving me signals to find it. Later, Deboraal shared some of her stories regarding their ways of doing things in the church which were very interesting for me and Kirthika. We were informed that the Microsoft Certification Exam vouchers were available in the centre and they said that today was the last day to get it by paying Rs.2000. Unfortunately, none of us had the money with us today and therefore we all had to miss the chance of buying it. In the afternoon, me and Bagavath moved to the hotel for having lunch but I had taken only a Mango Milkshake so that I could eat properly in the upcoming treat in the evening. I also bought the Chip Tech Magazine on my way. Then at about 5PM, we started moving out of the class towards our home. Worth mentioning here is that this could be the best NIIT day I’ve ever experienced.

While we were walking out from the class, I got a call from Panneer at about 5.05PM and he asked me to reach the hotel at 7PM for his birthday treat. So I headed back home, refreshed myself in just 5 minutes and rushed back to the bus stop to get the next bus to reach the hotel in time. I used my Ike’s GPS functionality to find the route to the hotel and I started walking towards it. I reached the hotel and started waiting at about 6.57PM because there was no sign of any of my friends as I had already expected. The street was dark and empty as I wandered around for some time.

After a few minutes, I got a text message from Arumugam that they are starting from their room only at that moment. Feeling pity for myself, I wandered around the neighboring areas in search for a WiFi signal. Luckily, I got hold of two WiFi hotspots, one of which was unsecured. I started to hack around with it, but eventually failed because the router used was a Tikona model for which I had no experience of hacking it earlier. Then after a few minutes, I caught sight of 3 lovely kittens in the street, which were immediately named Mumi (Pronounced as Mewmi, not Moomi), Kelto and Scufaa. Their Mama cat was also searching the neighboring streets for food for feeding its kittens. Meanwhile, I was playing with them, as they roamed here and there in fear of me trying to snap pictures at them. It was a lot of fun playing with them, I definitely can’t describe in words how much I loved to be with them at that time. As some of my friends know, I have a habit of not taking photos of things I love which is probably the reason why I do not share pictures of my lovable belongings like my Mac over the internet. For the purpose of the blog, I took some snapshots of those kitties and for the first time I saw the white-eye effect on those kitten’s eyes when my Ike flashed on them while snapping them. Here’s one of the snaps clearing showing the white-eye effect on Kelto :

I was not able to snap all the kitties together at the same time since they are actively roaming here and there in the darkness. It was like the kittens were telling me, “Leave Me Alone! Leave Me Alone!”. People were seeing me as a strange kid and one of them sitting inside a car parked in front of the hotel, asked why I taking photos of those uncared kittens. I simply answered that I love kittens a lot which made him to smile and say ‘Carry on!’. Later, I moved on back to the hotel entrance after being exhausted in the event of playing with them for about 20 minutes.

While I was standing simply, an old woman with a red saree was standing lonely near me with fear in her eyes for some reason. I could sense that she was in some kind of trouble and I started to wonder what it could be. She looked fair, resembled a brahmin and was well dressed but looked a bit poor. After a few minutes, she herself came to me and said that she has lost her purse on the way back to her home. She asked whether I could lend her an amount of 3 Rupees in order to get bus. Immediately, I dug my hand into the pocket and searched for coins. I could find exactly 3 Rupees, which was a 2-Rupee coin and two 50 Paise coins which were printed on 2010. Bagavath gave me those two coins and told me to keep it safe while we were having lunch. But I generously gave them to the old lady even though I did not even have a single dime in my pocket after that. She touched my hands and thanked me by saying that I’ll have a good future and moved on to the bus stop. One of the guys who had been seeing this incident, came near me and asked what happened to her. I described what happened which made him smile and return back. Later, I could watch the lady get the bus from the bus stop and I was filled with satisfaction in my mind.

Continuing on, the time was about 7.45PM and still there was no sign my friends. I returned back to the kittens and I was astounded to see that there were not just three kittens but four! The new one was immediately named Newla, and I started playing with all the four of them at the same time. They were running here and there hiding under the motorcycles parked in the street while I chased them till I could get fully exhausted again. At about 7.55PM, I received a text message from Arumugam that they are walking on the way to the hotel, so I bid good bye to kittens and stood in front of the hotel as if nothing happened.

At 8.00PM, one hour late from the mentioned time, Panneer and others came together and moved into the hotel. We dined up by arranging a series of 4 tables together and sat encircling the whole setup. We ordered the food and started eating with lots of hunger but I couldn’t eat as much as others did. Finally, I finished the meal and had a tin of Pepsi which accidentally fell when I tried to keep my Ike inside the pocked and spoiled my pants very badly. Later, Panneer and his gang bid farewell and started moving out. But I stayed there with Kasi in order to obtain a few videos from Saba Kumar which I had been longing to get it from him since Nalini’s sister wedding. My subtle perseverance finally paid off today as I got the videos and snapshots from him which I will be adding to my prestigious iPhoto Collection. I also got a chance to dig in to his Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro which maybe my next smartphone, and also I got a quick hands-on with Muthu Sankar’s Samsung Galaxy Pop (his brother’s phone). At about 9.27PM, I finally said good bye to everyone and started moving to the dark streets alone.

With no fear in my mind, thanks to Parithi X system, I accurately planned how to reach home as agile as possible. I hitched a auto rickshaw to the bus stop, for which the driver smiled and said ‘Right Pa!’ while I gave him the money at the destined place. It was pretty unusual to see that every auto-rickshaw driver I face alone on the street, are happy to have me whereas when me and my family go together, the drivers show an angry face instead. Luckily, the bus came under a minute of waiting and moved smoothly on the empty highway. Since I had drank a can full of Pepsi and nothing after that, my mouth was totally dry and I was thristy too (I guess now you’ll understand that the post title makes sense). Then I got another auto back home, and my expectations from this auto driver was not deceived either. He too smiled and was happy to give a lift to this poor boy. Then I got back home at about 9.45PM, which is not even half an hour from the hotel. This amazed Arumugam how I could reach home this much soon.

Suming up, the day was super awesome. I was satisfied with the day very much, can’t forget every single crazy moment at NIIT and the play with the kittens although I got insulted pretty harshly by my NIIT mam. I also loved that fact that, I could be alone by myself without any text messages due to the 100sms rule implemented from today (but I still hate you TRAI!!!!). So bottom line,

Being a Lone Wolf surely feels more kewl rather than being with a bunch of Pigs..

No Pun Intended. I’m not relating my friends to pigs, I just wanted to say that I feel more cooler and confident when I’m alone. Although the day was meant to be special for Panneer’s birthday treat, it finally turned out to be much more special when I was being alone by myself. The End? I hope not because I have a lot of stupid assignments to complete. And that’s the remaining part of this one day tale..
