Switching Tracks..
Maybe I was wrong. It was not all black & white for me but something made me to feel so just because I expect a little too much from my friends. Knowing that everyday is not filled with sugar, spice and everything nice but still there is so much to learn and so much to realize from the things that surround me. The week after I came back to Chennai, almost half of the things that existed before had changed. Ishwarya and Chetna had taken a leave on monday since they couldn’t get back to the office from their native place in time and the day was clearly an example how it would look like if they were to leave us forever. Chetna gifted me and Srinath with a badge for each of us and mine had a moon on it, which I had badged it to my new backpack. It was clearly Chetna and Ishwarya, who form the Heart or Core of our gang, who keep all of us united together at all times. Without them, all of our trains would just wander to different tracks they way they like. The situation has changed a little bit as I have my best friend Srinath, with me at all times. He gave me a wonderful company and taught me a lot of things I didn’t know about Chennai, when all of us who belong to the tech team went to Sathyam Cinemas to watch the horribly logic less movie named Billa 2. I would have hated my entire day if it weren’t for him who made the movie fun and entertaining to watch.
It was that day when I got introduced to Nithin anna, who had now become one of my best friends and one of my very favorite Consimities. We went to the theatre in his bike followed by his friend and it was amazing to see that he had known almost all shortcuts in the city as he swiftly and safely drove in and out of every tiny narrow street. On the way, he made me familiar with the names of the various places of Chennai as we headed towards the theatre in no time. Adding more, he is an expert in many web services and technologies as far I know, because of which he had become one of my internal inspirers in our office. He had taught me a lot of things from technology to behavior and had also gave me a lovely pikachu doll for my cabin (Ironically, this is my first pokemon that I’ve got on my adventure :P ).
Yesterday, we had planned to goto the movie, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which I had waited so many years to hit the theaters and finally I was about to see it. I started off from my home very late and had breakfast at the Sangeetha Restaurant nearby my home. For the first time, I had used Twitter as a texting service to inform Vijayakanth anna (we call him Captain) about my location and status. After a weird travel in the metro train, we had finally reached the theatre and had lunch just in time to watch one of the mind-blowing movies of our lives. After watching the movie, we were all over-excited as we talked and talked about it for about 2 hours and we finally got off at the beach at around 8 PM. Accompanied by Dharani’s classmate, Sunil, we were roaming through the Marina Beach for an hour in the darkness. Thanks to Sri, I wasn’t feeling lonely as I would feel always. We shared lots of stuff and had lots of fun teasing others especially Dharani and we walked till we reached an Ice cream shop to have something for dinner. This could be the first time I had fun here in Chennai without Chetna and Ishwarya but I still m….d t..m.
Last week, we were finally separated into teams. All of us had a lot of fear that we’ll get separated and we can no longer have fun together every lunch and evening. Although the team separations weren’t so bad as we thought it would be but unfortunately, what I had wished did not happen :( . Hoping that everything will turn out okay, I had no other go than to accept Chetna’s gtalk status message ‘It’s time to move on…’ and follow the path what I’m led into. I’m very confident that we’ll always be united and will have fun as always and I hope everyone around me believes the same way too…
