A Day at EA..

It’s been a long while I had went to my favorite mall in my favorite area — The Express Avenue at Royapettah. Last night, I had come very late from the office, at about 2am in the early morning and was forced to have only 4 hours of sleep. Although it was a sunday, I couldn’t sleep well after 7am and Dharani added some torment to it but pinging me in my tummy while sleeping. Since me and Vijayakanth always tease him for being so round and fat, he gets up very early in the morning and runs across the Marina Beach for slimming down a bit. But as far as I can see I couldn’t find any difference yet.

I woke up at about 11am, and texted Ishwarya to ask if she’s free that day. But there was no response till 12am, she was in a deep sleep I guess and so I started listening to Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne. I also read a chapter in one of my books and updated my statuses on my new favorite android app called the Path. Later on, I took bath and planned the day with Ishwarya to goto the mall in the afternoon after lunch. Vijayakanth, Dharani and Sunel had already left the hostel to watch ‘Chennaiyil oru naal’ at the same mall in the morning.

After finishing my lunch, I started off to the street, the sun was burning down fiercely. I had no change in my pocket and so I searched my room in every corner to get some coins for bus and I managed to get around 7.50rs. I stood near an atm near my hostel and texted Prince what he was doing. Right now, he is in Kolkata with his friend Shanmugam exploring the parts of North India for his exam. He has been sending me photos of the life he’s living there and — god, it’s the same thing I’ve experienced when I went to Ludhiana, a few months back. After about half an hour, I called up Ishwarya to get ready and then I took a bus to adyar.

I catched 21H from my place to Adyar signal. The ticket cost Rs.11 and I had to use up the last 10rs note and a re.1 coin from the remains I took from my room. A few minutes later, I realised I should take the ticket for Adyar Depot and not the signal. I informed the conductor and he scolded me that he can’t change tickets. He added that I have to take another ticket from the Adyar signal to Adyar depot after we reach there. I checked my pocket for the remaining coins and I had only 6.50rs while the ticket cost rs.7. So I immediately digged my wallet whether I have any coins remaining. There was an old and rusty 50paise hiding inside it, which always used to irritate me by not allowing me to fold my wallet properly for a long time. It was finally it’s time to be used and I gave the exact change to get the ticket to Adyar depot after I reached the signal.

I called Ishwarya after reaching the depot and started walking to meet her. On the way to her hostel, I saw a mini van having a sticker labeled www.kuppathotti.com and I was wondering their that web address is actually true. So I took out my Xype and fired up the browser and went to the URL to find it out. Surprisingly the domain was actually true and they run a service to clean up homes and take out the garbage by getting requests online.

Soon Ishwarya called me with Abi was already on the call in conference mode, while they were playing by saying ‘Hello Hello….’ was looking around the beatific streets of Adyar. After a few minutes, Ishwarya came with her purple umbrella and we moved to the bus stop to join with Abi.

Abi was coming in the A1 bus in which we both hitched in and were surprised to see two babies sitting the seats together. Of course, one of them was our Boo Boo, I mean Abi :D . On the way I was explaining about the EA games and my future in gaming, after getting the tickets, we got down at Royapettah and started walking towards Express Avenue.

I interviewed Abi about how she thinks about EA as she hasn’t been to it before and that was the mission all about. A few weeks back, me and Abi were looking up our company’s outlets across the cities and I was shocked to know that Abi hasn’t seen EA or the outlet of our company we have there. And that day we set up the mission to visit it once and it was the day it was about to become true.

After drinking some tender coconut, we marched in to the EA and roamed around a bit. Taking some photos near the Holi preparation setups, we went downstairs and we kept on walking until I told them a few 30 meters away from our mission destination. Abi had almost forgot about what the mission was all about and was a little surprised to see the TamilMatrimony outlet standing beside her. I took some snaps of Ishwarya and Abi in front of our outlet and then we moved on to my favorite sweet stall, the GangoTree.

After melting in the taste of the delicious cerelac look-alike, Ramaldi Malai sweet, we were roaming in various stores. We met Vijayakanth, Sunel, Dharani, and Ranjith who were already there and then we had an awesome time at Lavazza for about 2 hours. And then we started off back to home after getting some coconut burfis at a small shop and got our bus. I got down at Adyar and spent some in solitude in the bus stop after which I returned back to hostel.

I know I have to say something here but……..you’ll soon see why it’s missing here.
