R.I.P Luna .. :(
Not to be confused with Luna LoveGood (My Most Favorite Character in the Harry Potter Series for being Smarter like me :P ), this post describes about my Flash Drive which I named it as Luna. It’s July 26th 2011 and I’ve been seriously engaged in designing the stuff for the National Level Technical Symposium named “CyberNautz ‘11” which is going to be held on August 12th. I’m forced to sit in the department and design the posters, by which I miss almost all the classes. Surprisingly, since I’m staying 90% of the day in the department, all the staff members have become so close to me. Many Staff have started advising me to be bold and confident. They also added that my shyness is the only negative in me which can make all my tech knowledge and expertise go worthless. I’ve added of their advices to my Level X mission and I’ve decided to follow them seriously!
Today, I had taken my Macbook Pro to my college and showed it to my staff and classmates. Everyone was extremely fascinated on seeing my Mac which made me very happy but still a little sad that I could not show it to my dear friend Lilly. I had finished the design and uploaded the final poster to the CyberNautz site. One of the embrassing things that happened today was when our HOD had asked to arrange the PC and the Projector in our class. We had arranged it in the class as he wanted us to and was awaiting his instructions. Later, when I was asked to enter the password for the computer by our HOD, I typed it CORRECTLY according to the slang which he metioned, but it went wrong and all my classmates laughed at me. Then I gave the keyboard to him and let him type his password. According to the tamil slang, the correct letters which should be in the password is ‘vaa’ whereas he typed ‘va’ which authenticated the machine. With anger, I had to move out of the class, back to the department.
Coming to the topic, I had given my flash drive ‘Luna’ to Sampath sir for copying some java related stuff. He had some issues while copying the files, which then resulted in the death of my Luna!! :( This is not the first time I’m having a bad time with flash drives but this is the first time to have my own flash drive get killed. I’ve mailed the Transcend Technical support regarding issue and I’ve also tried more than 30 Techniques to recover my flashdrive but all were in vain. There was no point in fighting with Transcend over the warranty, so I decided to buy a new one. Today, I ordered a HP V 220 Flash Drive from Flipkart and I’m hoping its arrival very soon. Lets hope this one gets a greater life than my old one. Anyway Rest In Peace Luna…
