The Day of 60…

September was a month where nothing had changed, no fun, no roaming with my gang, no nothing. That doesn’t mean I have lost hope on everyone in my gang, but I did lose hope that I can make a difference. It’s like they have changed to how I was, a few months back, to which even I couldn’t change although I tried a very few times. I found that the only way to solve this is to replace my friends with new ones. Of course, that’s impossible but I can’t take this mental torture where everyone treats me as if I’m a see-through window. And I can’t blame them either, because they may have personal issues, lots of tension at work and I should be the one to understand that..

Last Saturday, I had to accompany Jiji Akka as she had to aboard the Indigo Flight at 10am. I woke up very early and I started off from home at the right to meet up with Jiji Akka at Pattinampakam. We were waiting for the bus to get to Guindy and Google maps had once again played with me by showing a low number of buses that goes through that way. After learning from the other travellers nearby, we boarded a bus and met Arumugam at Guindy. I’m a big lover of trains and flights and I was very excited to see the planes at the airport. An Air Asia plane flew over us as we waited in the train station to get to the airport and it was so close that even the shadow of that fell clearly on the ground below. We boarded the train at about 7.30AM and reached the airport by 8AM. The climate was awesome, I couldn’t even believe I was in Chennai as the sky was completely grey, filled with clouds and the sun was no where to be found. After reaching the airport, we took a few snaps and roamed the premises to find whether the Indigo staff are. After 15 mins, we sent off Jiji Akka and but we expected to meet her after getting the visitor passes. So me and Arumugam searched the booths to get the visitor passes and finally found one by the end of the building. We got the tickets for Rs.60 and entered the visitors’ room but she had already left the place and went through the gate for her flight. We didn’t want to waste our money and so we took seats in the visitors’ place and talked for an hour or so about our office adventures (although I dont have any exciting stuff to share this month).

After sometime, Jiji Akka called me and told that she had boarded the flight and so we started moving out of the airport and searched for a hotel to have our breakfast. Rain started to drizzle and the weather was superb as we then planned to goto the Vandalur zoo. We boarded the train once again and reached the zoo after an hour. We spent an other Rs.60 on our breakfast and another Rs.60 for the entrance fees for the Zoo. We rented two geared bicycles for Rs.60 again and started wandering in the zoo for some adventure in the foggy and cold weather. We had bought a 1ltr water bottle for breakfast but we didn’t finish it. Knowing that we couldn’t take it with us and having Chetna’s order in mind, I drank the full bottle in 1 go and threw the water bottle in the trashcan.

Moving on, I started doing a lot of stunts like wheelies, burnouts and swifty turns in and out the narrow roads of the park. A funny thing, Arumugam got his t-shirt splashed with strips of mud on his back because our bicycles had their mudguards removed. The only animal I had admired in the park was the white tiger, as I spent around 10 minutes trying to take a good snap of it and this was the best I could take from our range of sight.

After two hours went started moving out, as I had booked tickets for Resident Evil — Retribution at PVR Skywalk. We reached there at about 2.00PM and we were very hungry to have our lunches. We ordered food at the Andra Bhojanam, and were waiting to get it in our tables. It wasn’t long as I realized after Arumugam told me to check the ticket and we were shocked to know that the movie has already started at 2.00PM and I was in the belief that it was 3PM. In a hurry, we cancelled the order and ran through the crowd to the top floor to watch the movie. After getting our 3D glasses for another Rs.60, we went to the movie theatre and watched the deadly boring movie for one and half hours. At 4PM, we came out had gave our bills to get the food we had ordered earlier. After filling our straving tummies, we ordered two Rasmalais at the Coimbatore’s Sri Krishna Sweets for another Rs.60 each and just loved the taste of it even though it wasn’t that good as my mom used to make.

Then we started moving out and headed out to our homes. The next day Sunday, Me, Sri, Dharani, Vishnu and Sunel went to the City centre where we met with Dharani’s classmates and watched the same dumb movie again at INOX. I loved the two hot chocolate drinks, after a long time. And again, it cost the same Rs.60. By now you might have wondered why I kept the name of the post like that and there’s nothing more to it.

And that’s it for now. A big “Hiiiiiiii!!!” to my new Invisible friends, S_h_akthi, AnnaShree, Rajesh, Praveen. I’m glad you guys know of me by now through Arumugam. I’m very excited to meet you guys, the same way you guys are, to meet me and I hope time will fix a day for that. By chance, if anyone wishes to reply to my hi back, you can use the comment section below. Stay Tuned, take care and dont forget to keep smiling.. :)
